Rain canceled NASCAR Cup Series practice and qualifying at Kansas Speedway Saturday, so NASCAR's performance metric set the Hollywood Casino 400 lineup. Joey Logano took the pole, with points leader Kyle Larson second; Chase contenders filled the top nine.
The other seven Chase contenders in the top nine were Christopher Bell, Carson Hocevar, Ty Gibbs, Denny Hamlin, Bubba Wallace, William Byron and Ryan Preece. Josh Berry was the highest-starting driver outside the Chase, in 10th.
Logano is third in the championship standings, 16 points behind Larson, and comes off his third win of the season at Bristol. Larson starts second after finishing runner-up there last weekend.
