Jennifer Taylor, 41, was diagnosed with stage 2 triple-positive breast cancer in 2025. Her childhood best friend, Adrien Finkel, has supported her through treatment, and the two share the experience on Instagram so Taylor does not have to repeatedly recount her diagnosis.
Taylor’s treatment has included 12 weeks of initial THCP chemotherapy, a double mastectomy, 20 rounds of radiation and chemically induced menopause. She is also undergoing an additional chemotherapy treatment called ENHERTU, which she says will continue until December.
Finkel was at Taylor’s first mammogram and has accompanied her to every one since; the friends also attend biweekly chemotherapy visits at Perlmutter Cancer Center. They say their posts show both cancer’s difficult realities and moments of laughter, without putting a positive gloss on the experience.
