Giants QB Jaxson Dart will miss the rest of 2026 after a knee injury in New York’s 28-6 loss to the Rams. MRI scans found damage to his MCL, PCL and meniscus. Former coach Brian Daboll said he was devastated and believes Dart will return stronger.
Daboll, now the Tennessee Titans’ offensive coordinator, drafted Dart in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft. He said he has a very good relationship with the quarterback and expressed respect and affection for him.
Dart was hurt on the Giants’ opening drive when two defenders hit him during a pass attempt. He completed 3 of 5 passes for 20 yards before leaving. Initial tests offered some optimism, but further evaluation found the damage, leading to season-ending surgery.
