At Gillette Stadium, CBS commentator J.J. Watt said he still could not understand how Aaron Rodgers got up and kept playing after what Watt called a violent hit from the front and back during Pittsburgh’s Sunday loss to New England. Rodgers was sacked four times in the game.
Across the first two weeks, Rodgers had been sacked six times, while Pittsburgh had recorded just one receiving touchdown. Dropped passes and a lack of a running game also hampered the Steelers against New England.
Watt also said Rodgers took a knee to the side of his head later in the game. He said Rodgers’ unconventional recovery methods were working, but did not specify what they were.
