A post by I Talk Hoops on X says Paige Bueckers became the first WNBA player to average 20+ points and 5+ assists per game, shoot at least 50% from the field and record a 2.0+ assist-to-turnover ratio over a season. She scored 25 as Dallas beat Seattle, 103-91.
Less than a week earlier, Bueckers had surpassed Seimone Augustus’ record for most points scored by a player after their first two seasons, with 1,515 points to Augustus’ 1,513.
Dallas finished seventh and will play the second seed in the first round. The Golden State Valkyries held that spot at the time of the article, but they and the third-place Las Vegas Aces each still had one game to play.
