After its London edition in 2026, the Laver Cup’s 2027 Team Europe–Team World tennis event will be held at Intuit Dome near Los Angeles, bringing the tournament back to California. Organizers cite L.A.’s fashion, music and sports scene as a draw.
CEO Steve Zacks described Los Angeles and San Francisco as untapped tennis markets, with interested local fans but no professional men’s tournament in either city. Their modern arenas and established NBA audiences offer the Laver Cup ways to cross-promote, he said. Chairman Tony Godsick called the Chase Center edition the event’s best so far.
Zacks said newer arenas’ digital signage, lighting and bowl layouts can simplify event setup, avoid temporary seating and cut costs. A West Coast stop also serves as a launch point before the ATP Asian swing begins the following week; organizers weigh player travel and broadcast time zones, and seek global sponsors willing to travel with the event.
