Hamilton County Democratic Party vice chair Jasmine Coaston says Black candidate Elizabeth Tye’s yard signs were repeatedly defaced in racist ways across Hamilton County. She condemned the vandalism and urged Tye’s opponent, Judge Ralph (Ted) Winkler, to do so too.
Coaston called on Winkler, whom she described as the white male incumbent, to condemn the vandalism, including the defacing of a Black woman’s face with black paint. The probate court handles guardianships, adoptions, estates and mental-health commitments.
