Guernsey’s Douzaine Liaison Group will hold an open morning at Beau Sejour Centre in Amherst on Saturday, 10:00–12:00 BST, for islanders considering the 4 November parish elections. There are Constable opportunities and more than 30 Douzenier opportunities.
To stand, people must live in the parish and be on the electoral roll; no special qualifications or previous experience are required, the group said. Current Douzeniers, Constables and Parish representatives will answer questions about the roles and election process. Duties include attending monthly meetings and dealing with parish matters.
