Decision Desk HQ, The Hill’s nonpartisan polling partner, forecast Democrats would win both chambers; as of Wednesday night it put Trump’s approval at 37.9% and disapproval at 60.7%. Republicans also face rising living costs, Trump’s war in Iran and Democratic polling leads on health care and immigration. Florida gubernatorial candidate Byron Donalds dropped some mentions of Trump from his website, while Senate candidates Mike Rogers and Ashley Hinson distanced themselves from him over Iran. Gruters rejected that approach, arguing candidates should embrace Trump’s policies.
