At the Texas Tribune Festival on Thursday, former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene said she thinks MAGA is “dead,” accusing President Donald Trump of lying to and betraying supporters by launching a war with Iran despite his pledge to avoid foreign wars.
Greene, a longtime MAGA supporter, first split with Trump last year over his handling of files related to Jeffrey Epstein’s sex-trafficking case. After Trump called her a “traitor,” she resigned from Congress at the start of 2026.
Her remarks come as numerous polls show Democrats with an edge over Republicans in the 2026 midterm elections.
