Jaxson Dart is having left-knee surgery Friday, the New York Post reports, after suffering damage to his PCL, MCL and meniscus Monday night. Giants coach John Harbaugh expects him to miss at least the regular season; a playoff return depends on recovery.
Dart injured his knee Monday night when Los Angeles Rams defenders Byron Young and Josaiah Stewart high-lowed him.
Sports-medicine orthopedic surgeon Dr. Kyle Flik said recovery depends on the extent of damage beyond the meniscus. He said four months could be possible if only the MCL and meniscus are involved, but not if PCL reconstruction is needed. He described PCL reconstruction alongside MCL and meniscus repairs as the worst-case scenario.
