Friday’s Southern California high school football results covered City Section, Southern Section and intersectional games, with Paloma Valley beating Liberty 69-0 and Sun Valley Poly defeating Grant 61-6. In 8-man play, Lancaster Baptist and Hesperia Christian tied 41-41.
Close games included Muir’s 8-7 win over Redondo Union, Grand Terrace’s 22-21 victory over Rim of the World and Burbank’s 23-21 win over Bakersfield Centennial. Compton Early College beat Locke 21-14 in overtime. Burbank Burroughs, Lucerne Valley and Valhalla were each awarded wins by forfeit.
Other large wins included Santa Ana’s 51-0 result against Ganesha, Compton Centennial’s 56-0 win over Manual Arts and St. Monica’s 62-21 victory over Cantwell-Sacred Heart.
