Raul Rosas Jr., Raoni Barcelos, Ailin Perez and Ilimbek Akylbek were taken to a local hospital for precautionary evaluations after UFC Vegas 121 on Sept. 26. The UFC said Barcelos was stable, alert and responsive; the other three fighters’ scan results were not public.
Barcelos collapsed after Rosas secured a takedown in the fifth round of their main-event fight and appeared to lose consciousness. He was taken to a Level 1 trauma center. The UFC said a CT scan and comprehensive assessment were completed, he had full movement and would remain under medical supervision.
Rosas was sent for head and face CT scans after their five-round bout. Perez had a precautionary facial CT and further imaging for a possible orbital fracture after beating Norma Dumont by unanimous decision. Akylbek was sent for head and face CT scans after Mahammadali Osmanli landed an illegal knee to his head while he was grounded; the bout was ruled a disqualification win for Akylbek.
