The 2026 Berlin Marathon is set for Sunday, Sept. 27; the elite race, followed by the mass start, begins at 8:30 a.m. Berlin time (2:45 a.m. ET). FloTrack and the FloSports app will stream it in the US and Canada; no traditional North American TV broadcast is planned.
The handbike races are scheduled for 2:20 a.m. ET, and elite wheelchair races for 2:26 a.m. ET. The 26.2-mile route starts and finishes near the Brandenburg Gate, passing the Victory Column, the Reichstag and the TV Tower.
Nearly 85,000 participants from 162 nations are expected for the 52nd edition. Tigst Assefa is chasing the women's world record, while defending champion Rosemary Wanjiru is looking for a second straight win. Bekele is out with an injury, and the defending men's champion has also withdrawn.
