Michael Rogers, Jonathan Schultz, Cassandra Crawley, Matthew Binford and Abigail Cramer were charged in Indianapolis with fraud and official misconduct over Flock camera misuse; Schultz also faces stalking charges for allegedly tracking women.
The department said it suspended the other four and recommended they be fired; Cramer reportedly resigned. A department audit found misuse after The Washington Post investigated the officers’ camera use.
Prosecutors said Schultz arrived at one woman’s gym within an hour of her at least nine times between June 12 and Aug. 1. He also allegedly searched another woman’s license plate 178 times. The Post reported that employees in at least 100 police departments had misused Flock cameras.
