FEVM unveiled its 2.6-liter FA80G mini PC, pairing a 16-core Ryzen 9 9950X3D desktop CPU with Nvidia’s 24GB RTX 5090 Laptop GPU. The CPU can receive up to 90W and the GPU up to 150W; the bare-bones flagship is priced at ¥22,299 (about $3,300) before memory and storage.
The RTX 5090 Laptop GPU has 10,496 CUDA cores and supports ray tracing, DLSS 4 and Multi Frame Generation. The FA80G supports up to 128GB of DDR5 memory and has two M.2 2280 connectors for drives up to 4TB. FEVM says separate cooling uses four heat pipes for each main component; it rates full-load noise at 42dB, CPU temperatures below 85°C and GPU temperatures below 80°C.
The article contrasts the FA80G’s Windows gaming focus with Apple’s M5 Ultra Mac Studio, which it says can offer up to 512GB of unified memory and 1.2TB/s bandwidth. It notes that Mac gaming uses Apple’s Metal-based environment and tools for porting Windows games.
