‘Fake Skating’ film casts Amélie Hoeferle and Graham Campbell

Amélie Hoeferle and Graham Campbell will play Dani and Alec in Sony’s film adaptation of Lynn Painter’s novel “Fake Skating,” with the casting announced Sept. 24. Josh Boone will direct; the film is scheduled to open exclusively in theaters July 16, 2027.

The story follows childhood friends who reunite in high school after Dani moved away. Alec is now a star hockey player, and the two become each other’s fake boyfriend and girlfriend.
