Emily Burnham won Wednesday’s “Jeopardy!” with $17,201 after ending the first round at $400 and taking the lead in Double Jeopardy. Returning champion Jennifer Leavey finished second with $3,000; Edward Tournier ended third with $372.
Burnham found both Daily Doubles in Double Jeopardy. She wagered $1,200 on a ’60s-movies clue and correctly named “Lawrence of Arabia,” then bet $3,000 on a clue about Ambergris Caye and answered Belize, moving from a tie with Leavey to $7,400.
Leavey came into her third game with a two-day total of $50,801. In Final Jeopardy’s “2026 Commencement Speakers” category, Burnham was the only contestant to respond correctly, with “Who is Lindsay Vonn?” Her $5,801 wager brought her total to $17,201. Leavey missed with “Who is Kamala Harris?” and wagered $5,000; Tournier missed with “Who is Cheryl Strayed?” and wagered $8,228. Burnham is set to return Thursday for her second game.
