HGTV designer David Bromstad paused a “My Lottery Dream Home” shoot to greet a fan who recognized him, exchanged a fist bump and thanked him for watching. When a crew member said filming was underway, Bromstad urged them, “Let him have his moment!”
In an Instagram post shared days after his Aug. 17 birthday, Bromstad, who turned 53, credited sobriety with bringing him “the life I was always meant to live.” He had previously discussed substance use and entering a treatment program in the HGTV special “My Lottery Dream Home: David’s Happy Ending,” which followed the transformation of his Florida home.
