Atlanta psychiatrist Munjal Shroff says Healz AI encouraged a second opinion at MD Anderson, where his wife was diagnosed with rare T-cell lymphoma after months of unexplained symptoms. He kept using the chatbot through her treatment and later invested in the startup.
Healz is designed to supplement, not replace, doctors, and its founders say it can help patients understand diagnoses, find oncologists and navigate treatment. Shroff said the chatbot was sometimes wrong about treatment and monitoring details, so he used it alongside her doctors.
The early-stage startup is backed by Recursive Superintelligence cofounder Alexey Dosovitskiy. Healz’s founders said recurring revenue doubled monthly from June through August, reaching $100,000 in annual recurring revenue by early September; they reported that 97% of users were cancer patients and month-to-month retention was 70%.
