Motley Fool co-founder David Gardner answers five AI-generated questions in the fourth “ChatGPT Asks, David Answers” episode. He says quarterly portfolio reviews may be less suited to a faster-moving future and would most want to know SpaceX’s share price on Dec. 31, 2046.
Gardner said his 30-year-old self had 30 more years to compound returns and followed technology and stock ideas more actively. At 60, he said, results had strengthened his confidence in his six Rule Breaker stock-selection traits. In a hypothetical choice between a profitable, dominant $1 trillion company and a loss-making $10 billion firm with a less certain future, he favored the larger business, though he said investors could own both.
Gardner said AI could alter the stock-selection trait focused on company leaders and decision-makers, while human empathy and workplace culture may remain important. Asked about a final investment, he chose money directed toward building trust and optimism. He said knowing SpaceX’s future price could help him gauge where Rocket Lab and other space companies may be headed.
