Dana White said he does not know whether Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua will fight in December amid a dispute over his role as promoter. Eddie Hearn says Joshua’s contract bars White from promoting; Fury says he removed a similar restriction from his own agreement.
White said the expected Wednesday press event was also uncertain and maintained that his role as promoter had not changed. He expected greater clarity on the fight’s future within three or four days and accused Hearn of hurting the event.
White denied rumors that Manny Pacquiao would return to the ring in a co-feature against Shakur Stevenson. He said Keyshawn Davis vs. Richardson Hitchins was “more than likely” to be added if the show proceeds.
