Taylor Swift unveiled a 13-second preview of her “Patient Zero” music video on CBS Mornings Thursday, Sept. 24. Dakota Johnson and Colin Farrell co-star; the full video is set to premiere at the MTV Video Music Awards Sept. 27, and the single is due Friday, Sept. 25.
Swift’s expanded album, The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore, is due Sept. 25 and includes four new songs: “Patient Zero,” “Pink Clouding,” “Babylon” and “Cleveland!” The edition is available for preorder.
The music video features cinematography by Oscar-winning Emmanuel Lubezki, whose credits include The Revenant, Birdman and Gravity. Swift is also set to receive the first Artist Director Honors award at the VMAs; a press release says it recognizes artists whose behind-the-camera work has expanded music-video storytelling.
