Remedy Entertainment’s Control Resonant, a direct sequel to 2019’s Control, is now on the PlayStation Store for PS5. The Standard Edition costs $59.99 and Digital Deluxe $69.99; Dylan Faden is the new protagonist in a shift toward melee combat.
After years in Federal Bureau of Control confinement, Dylan enters a paranatural crisis in Manhattan and must find his sister, Jesse Faden, while confronting the Hiss and the Mold. His shapeshifting weapon, the Aberrant, can become a two-handed hammer or dual blades; the game also features supernatural abilities and power upgrades.
The Digital Deluxe Edition includes exclusive bonus content. PS5 visuals are enhanced for PS5 Pro, and physical PS5 editions are available to preorder ahead of their scheduled Oct. 15 launch. PlayStation LifeStyle rated the game 7/10, praising its art design and some story moments but criticizing repetitive combat and a bland open world.
