The Connecticut Sun will play their final game in Uncasville against the Toronto Tempo on Thursday at 7 p.m. ET on NBA TV, ending their Connecticut chapter before moving to Houston and becoming the Comets next year. The 10-33 team is second-to-last in the league.
The franchise leaves without a championship despite a sustained record of playoff success. Under Mike Thibault, the Sun reached the semifinals four straight times, including two WNBA Finals; under Curt Miller and Stephanie White, they made six straight semifinal trips, including two more Finals appearances.
During the 2026 Sunset Season, the team announced former players Alyssa Thomas, Jonquel Jones, Tina Charles and Jasmine Thomas, along with former coaches Curt Miller and Mike Thibault, would be honored as Sun Legends.
