Commanders players said a brief Fox clip misrepresented their response after Jayden Daniels dislocated his left elbow Sunday: some stayed nearby, while others gave trainers room. Coach Dan Quinn said players were being directed off the field for halftime.
Quinn said the injury came on the first half's final play and officials could not delay halftime while Daniels received treatment. He said players wanted to stay; they returned after Daniels' elbow was put back into place. Left tackle Brandon Coleman said there was no malice, while tight end Ben Sinnott said teammates did not want to crowd Daniels.
