Colts and Texans meet with 0-3 starts looming in Week 3

SB Nation

The 0-2 Indianapolis Colts host the 0-2 Houston Texans at Lucas Oil Stadium in an AFC South Week 3 game Sunday at 1 p.m. EST on CBS. A loss would leave the loser 0-3; only seven teams in NFL history have reached the playoffs after starting 0-3.

After two games, Indianapolis is tied for 10th in scoring at 26.5 points per game but ranks 32nd in points allowed at 37.0 per game; its defense has surrendered 500-plus offensive yards in consecutive outings. Houston's offense, led by starting QB CJ Stroud, ranks 21st at 18.5 points per game, while its defense has allowed 28.0 per game, 24th in the league.

Houston has won the teams’ last five meetings, though Indianapolis leads the all-time series 33-15-1. The Colts ruled out WRs Ashton Dulin and Alec Pierce and listed CB Charvarius Ward as questionable. The Texans ruled out DE Jadeveon Clowney, WR Nico Collins, LB Jacob Hummel, OG Ed Ingram and S M.J. Stewart; OT Trent Brown is questionable.
