The Los Angeles Clippers signed Jason Preston and Hunter Sallis to Exhibit 10 contracts, Spotrac reports. Preston returns after the team waived Johni Broome earlier this week for roster reasons, and will get a chance to make a case for a two-way contract.
Preston missed his rookie season after an injury and appeared in 13 games for LA during his previous stint. The Clippers had rated him highly coming out of college; the report describes his ball-handling and playmaking as strengths.
The Clippers acquired Broome and a second-round pick from Philadelphia earlier in the summer for cash considerations. Bleacher Report's Jake Fischer reported that LA was among teams needing to trim its roster to 15 standard contracts.
