Oregon QB Dante Moore was stretchered off and put in an ambulance after being hit in the head by USC defender Desman Stephens II, who was ejected. Chris Simms said Moore slid late, putting Stephens in a “no-win situation”; Moore’s condition was unclear.
During NBC’s halftime coverage, Simms said defenders must be careful around quarterbacks but that Stephens was bracing to make a tackle as Moore approached. He also called the celebration by Stephens and USC a “bad look”; analyst Nicole Auerbach raised the possibility of Big Ten discipline under its sportsmanship policy.
