Chris Brooks leads Packers’ backs as MarShawn Lloyd ranks third in Week 3

SB Nation

Chris Brooks led Packers running backs with 26 offensive snaps in their Week 3 loss to Atlanta; Kaleb Johnson had 22 and MarShawn Lloyd 15. Lloyd now backs up Johnson as a ball-carrier. For the season, Brooks has 85 snaps, Lloyd 59 and Johnson 36.

Rookie Jager Burton made his first NFL start and played all 63 offensive snaps, with Aaron Banks out injured. Donovan Jennings appeared to have been benched but entered for seven snaps after Jacob Monk left with an undisclosed injury. At receiver, Skyy Moore had 32 snaps as Jayden Reed, sidelined with a neck/back injury, was likely to go on injured reserve.

On defense, rookie edge rusher Dani Dennis-Sutton played 36 snaps, ahead of Barryn Sorrell (26) and Brenton Cox Jr. (23); whether he keeps that spot remains uncertain. Linebacker Edgerrin Cooper left with a head injury, was evaluated for a concussion and did not return. Isaiah McDuffie replaced him.
