Chargers rookie Akheem Mesidor and Bills defender Greg Rousseau share an April 5 birthday, one year apart. Both attended Miami and were first-round picks. They meet Sunday: Rousseau, 26, has more than 3,500 NFL snaps; Mesidor is entering his third game.
Through two games, Mesidor recorded five pressures on 40 pass-rush snaps, a 12.5% rate; he played 66 snaps as Khalil Mack’s bookend. The author called the pressure rate solid but unspectacular and said rates above 15% are outstanding for an edge rusher. Concern about Mesidor’s age led the author to grade him in the late second to early third round, though the Chargers selected him 22nd overall.
