Taylor Simone Ledward asks a Los Angeles court to reject Chadwick Boseman’s brothers’ bid to remove her as estate administrator, saying she followed the 2022 order. Derrick and Kevin Boseman allege Boseman’s parents have not received their full shares; a judge has not ruled.
Ledward says nearly all assets covered by the order have been distributed; the unresolved item is a roughly $300,000 IRA, which she says a financial institution held back because of demands tied to the family dispute. She intends to distribute it once that obstacle is removed. Her filing also lists 100 shares of Chadwick Boseman, Inc., valued at about $3.397 million, among assets she says were distributed.
Derrick and Kevin’s July petition seeks a complete accounting and any remaining distributions, and proposes professional fiduciary and forensic accountant Jason Rubin to replace Ledward. They say they act with their parents’ authority; Ledward’s lawyers call the petition a “public-relations stunt” and argue the brothers are not Boseman’s legal heirs. The brothers’ earlier statement said their parents’ interests had been assigned to Boseman Family LLC.
