Tucker Carlson urged President Donald Trump’s Cabinet to invoke the 25th Amendment and remove him, saying Trump should have been ousted after what Carlson called a nuclear threat against Iran. He made the call in an NPR interview published Thursday.
Asked whether Trump should face impeachment over the war, Carlson said he would not be punished for it and suggested he might instead be pursued for corruption or something else. Carlson also said he did not think Trump had latitude to decide alone to join Israel’s attack on Iran.
Carlson’s demand was for Section 4 of the amendment to be invoked. Earlier in the year, conservative media figure Alex Jones and former Republican congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene also called for Trump’s removal under the amendment in response to his rhetoric about Iran.
