Jurors in Ohio heard Caleb Flynn’s tearful police interview Friday in his trial over the killing of his wife, Ashley Flynn. Flynn, who has pleaded not guilty, said an intruder shot her; investigators testified the garage-door damage was visible only when it was unlocked and open.
Prosecutors allege Flynn planned his wife’s death because he wanted to be with Alleigha Botner. Botner testified she and Flynn had been in a relationship for more than a year and that she had repeatedly asked him to leave his wife. After a detective cited a neighbor’s report of arguments, Flynn said their last argument was Friday and concerned plans for their older daughter.
