Shannon Marie Dillon was arrested by St. Lucie County deputies after a stolen Broward patrol vehicle was found abandoned off I-95 on Sept. 22. Deputies say they found her nearby in a vest bearing Broward Sheriff's Office insignia; she faces charges in both counties.
St. Lucie County charges include grand theft of law-enforcement equipment; unlawful use of a police badge or law-enforcement vehicle; unlawful possession of four or fewer identification items; possession or use of drug paraphernalia; possession of a weapon or ammunition by a convicted felon; driving with a suspended license; and resisting an officer without violence. Broward County charges are grand theft and grand theft of equipment from an authorized emergency vehicle.
St. Lucie County jail records show Dillon was booked at 3:11 a.m. on Sept. 23, with total bond of $107,500; the largest listed bond is $50,000 on the Broward equipment-theft charge. The two Broward holds are listed at $0 and $2,500. The record marks the booking offenses pending except for resisting, marked release on recognizance, and gives no expected release date. Both sheriff's offices are still investigating.
