The Dallas Wings closed the regular season with a 103-91 win over Seattle, and Paige Bueckers said she would not give the Las Vegas Aces “bulletin board material” as Dallas could meet the reigning champions in the first round.
This will be Bueckers’ first professional postseason, and Dallas is back in the playoffs for the first time in three years. She said playoff teams start at 0-0 and need heart, toughness and mental fortitude.
With clinching scenarios still in play Thursday, Las Vegas was likely to finish as the No. 3 seed and host Dallas in Game 1. Led by prospective MVP A’ja Wilson, the Aces are seeking a fourth championship in five years; Dallas went 7-15 against teams over .500 this season.
