Florida State's Shaneil Buckley scored her first goal and recorded her first assist in a 2-2 tie with NC State, helping FSU battle back in its first ACC game of the season. Through seven games, she has played 423 minutes, with nine shots and three on target.
Buckley came to FSU from Daytona State, where she helped the Falcons win consecutive NJCAA Division I national championships. She scored the championship-winning golden goal in 2024; as a sophomore, she started all 20 games, recording 23 goals and 10 assists, and earned national player of the year and tournament MVP honors.
Buckley has represented Jamaica at the senior national team level and competed in the 2022 Concacaf Women's U-17 and 2023 U-20 championships. Florida State is 4-1-2, ranked 22nd in the United Soccer Coaches poll, and travels to Louisville for its next ACC game.
