The Atlanta Braves beat the Miami Marlins 8-3, scoring six runs through four innings before Drake Baldwin’s ninth-inning homer added two more. Michael Harris had four hits, and opener Brent Suter pitched three scoreless innings as Atlanta held Miami to three runs.
Dominic Smith hit a two-run homer in the second, and Ha-Seong Kim’s triple helped set up two more Atlanta runs in the fourth. Miami scored twice against reliever Dylan Dodd and once against Robert Suarez.
The teams are due to meet again in Miami at 3:10 p.m. ET for the final game of the regular season.
