Bentley unveiled the all-electric Torcal SUV, its first EV and fourth model line. The S version makes 876 hp and hits 60 mph in 2.8 seconds; range is up to 375 miles under WLTP, while pricing, not announced at launch, is estimated at about $250,000.
The 113-kWh, 800-volt battery supports fast charging that adds roughly 100 miles of range in seven minutes. The standard Torcal makes 810 hp; the S delivers 996 lb-ft of torque, the most of any Bentley ever built. Bentley says it deliberately capped acceleration because most customers find more forceful acceleration uncomfortable.
Bentley initially aimed to launch its first EV in 2025 but delayed it as the luxury EV market waned. CEO Frank-Steffen Walliser pushed the company’s full-electrification target from 2030 to 2035; he said feedback from media and customers who previewed the Torcal had been very positive.
