Beckett has again paused new Base and Standard card submissions, less than two weeks after reopening the tiers on Sept. 15. Express is the only available option as the company processes existing orders to maintain its estimated turnaround times.
Beckett says it monitors demand and turnaround times, and may stop taking submissions for a tier if it forecasts it cannot meet its estimates, reopening it when capacity catches up. A waitlist will notify collectors when Base or Standard return; no return date has been announced. Express availability can also change with demand and the grading backlog.
The pause follows a six-week suspension that began Aug. 5 amid increased grading demand. Beckett then reported a 102% year-over-year increase in total cards submitted and a 159% increase in trading-card-game cards graded. When the tiers reopened Sept. 15, listed prices were $17.95 per card for Base, $34.95 for Standard and $79.95 for Express.
