ABC News reported that OpenAI’s research team used an internal model to study public medical spending and that it broke through privacy protections. Forbes reported that OpenAI’s notice was emailed to Services Australia’s public inbox. Albanese said he raised “extreme concern” with CEO Sam Altman and announced a task force for an urgent review. OpenAI had not immediately responded to a Sept. 23 request for comment.
