Apple could skip the iPhone 19 and move to an iPhone 20 in 2027, marking 20 years since the original went on sale, reports say. The anniversary model is rumored to have a near-seamless display, but Apple has not confirmed the model or its specifications.
Bloomberg's Mark Gurman and The Information have previously pointed to an edge-to-edge glass design with curved edges, while ETNews reported four-sided bending. Leaker Ice Universe suggested the look may instead be an optical effect, not a truly curved screen.
TheStreet says a more striking design might encourage owners to upgrade, but added manufacturing complexity, expense or customer resistance could limit the upside. Apple reported fiscal Q3 2026 revenue of $109.4 billion, up 16% year over year.
