Amazon raised its 2026 capital-spending forecast to about $220 billion, largely for AI and cloud infrastructure, while turning to debt markets with a £4.25 billion bond offering. It also plans to invest more than $100 million in an advanced manufacturing site in Indiana.

Amazon projects rolling out more than 20,000 AI delivery glasses by the end of 2027. It also plans to deploy two million additional GPUs with NVIDIA; the named models are slated for 2027 and 2028. Amazon's 2026 plan had called for around one million GPUs.

Amazon reported $200.6 billion in Q2 2026 revenue, up 20% year over year. Major cloud providers sold close to $220 billion in debt over the previous 12 months, a volume the article says may push up future borrowing costs. It also flags retail-margin pressure, changing consumer spending and higher hardware costs; investors will watch whether AWS growth keeps pace with infrastructure spending.
