Alonso homers twice as Orioles take doubleheader opener 10-2

The Orioles beat the Yankees 10-2 in Friday’s single-admission doubleheader opener. Pete Alonso hit two homers, bringing his season totals to 43 home runs and 113 RBIs; Dylan Beavers added a grand slam, and Jeremiah Jackson hit an inside-the-park homer.

Five Orioles had multi-hit games. A second game was still to be played Friday.
