The Walton family is one of Walmart’s largest shareholders, and the company’s shares gained more than 10% during the period, according to Forbes.
Walton’s foundation has committed $350 million to a planned Bentonville health campus being developed with Mercy and Cleveland Clinic. It is expected to include a 250-bed hospital and cancer center; a specialty care center focused on cardiac services is expected to open in 2029.
