Love, Theoretically, published in 2023, follows theoretical physicist and adjunct instructor Elsie Hannaway, who also works as a fake girlfriend, and Jack Smith, an experimental physicist on the MIT hiring committee for a tenure position she seeks. Sofia Alvarez is attached to direct and write; Hazelwood is an executive producer, and Colleen Hoover and Lauren Levine are among the producers. The article says development was reported in June 2026, with no further news since.
Deep End is a sports romance about Stanford diver Scarlett and swimmer Lukas, who pursue Olympic qualification as their relationship develops. Producers include Shawn Levy and Dan Levine of 21 Laps and Alex Cooper and Matt Kaplan of Unwell Productions; Laura Kosann is attached as screenwriter. The six books not yet optioned are Not in Love, Love on the Brain, Problematic Summer Romance, Bride, Mate and Check & Mate.
