Travis Kelce said he was “just doing my deed as a husband” after Taylor Swift went viral for celebrating his first touchdown this season. Online clips appeared to show her point to her ring and say, “That’s my husband,” during the Chiefs’ 33-30 win over Indianapolis.
Kelce caught a 13-yard pass from quarterback Patrick Mahomes in the first quarter. He also passed Hall of Famer Marshall Faulk to become the NFL’s career leader in yards after the catch, topping 6,288.
Chiefs coach Andy Reid said Kelce had worked hard despite questions about whether he would be out of shape after the wedding. Reid also suggested Swift’s four-hour shows and work ethic may help push Kelce to perform.
