Backup quarterback Dylan Raiola entered in the second quarter after starter Dante Moore was injured and taken from the game in an ambulance, then completed 19 of 25 passes for 289 yards, two touchdowns and no turnovers as No. 20 Oregon beat No. 12 USC 41-27.
Raiola transferred from Nebraska to Oregon this offseason after two seasons with the Cornhuskers, expecting he would likely serve as a backup. Coach Dan Lanning praised his preparation, saying Raiola had texted him during the week and was ready when called; Lanning said the team had faith in him.
