Peter Ford, the only child of actor Glenn Ford and dancer and MGM musical star Eleanor Powell, appeared with his father in eight films and performed with his band before leaving entertainment for the property business after earning an English degree in 1968.
Peter's first speaking role was in The Gazebo (1959), starring his father and Debbie Reynolds. His film credits also included Pocketful of Miracles, Dear Heart, Advance to the Rear and The Rounders.
In 2011, Peter published Glenn Ford: A Life, five years after his father died at 90. The book covered Glenn Ford's career and private life, including Peter's account of confronting his father over infidelity.
