Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff said he welcomes the “vultures” after the team’s 10-point Week 2 loss to Buffalo, saying tough moments reveal players’ character. Detroit hosts the New York Jets at Ford Field on Sunday in Week 3.
Goff completed 26 of 38 passes for 327 yards and four touchdowns. Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen threw for 248 yards and two touchdowns, and added 69 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns on 14 carries.
Detroit started slowly and tried to rally in the fourth quarter but ran out of steam. Goff and coach Dan Campbell lamented the start and said the offense could not sputter.
